Installation procedure Uniforme Omgeving – Vabi
Please download the
software from
\\archnas1\software\Vabi containing
the executable and the license file “v10290.lic”. (If you want to avoid
downloading the software, it can also be directly installed from the
server.)
Click on VABI-CD-Menu.exe.
Once the Vabi CD Menu appears go to “Uniforme Omgeving” and “Sleutel driver”
and install CodeMeter driver.
Having completed the
sleutel driver installation go back to the Vabi CD Menu and hit the button
“Installeren”. On the following screen start the installation by choosing
“Start installatie”. During the installation process you will be asked to
identify the path to the license file “v10290.lic”. Furthermore you will be
asked which component’s to install. Please ignore the software components
which have not been activated as they require an additional license. However,
should you decide to activate boxed with missing ticks you will install
trial versions of those components on you machine with limited capabilities.

Once the
installation process is complete you need to add a new environment
variable. To do so go to: Start/ Settings/ Control panel/ System/
Advanced and hit the Environment variable button. Here you can
choose to add new variables and corresponding values for either the
user or the system. As I suspect you will be the only one using the
software on your machine add a variable called vabihost with
corresponding value 131.155.135.73 to user variables. The
variable value refers to the IP address of the server with the
hardware key.
